Working Environment of Horizontal Slurry Pump
Slurry pumps are widely used in production and life, mainly for environmental protection, municipal engineering, thermal power plants, gas coking plants, oil refineries, steelmaking plants, mining, paper industry, cement plants, food plants, printing and dyeing and other industries. Suction concentrate, heavy oil, oil slag, foul liquid, mud, mortar, quicksand and flowing sludge in urban sewage drains, as well as fluids and corrosive liquids containing mud and sand slag.

1. The power supply should be selected according to the regulations. If the distance between the power supply and the water pump is short, the cross-sectional area of the wire of the wiring cable should be appropriately increased, and the connector should be as small as possible to ensure that the voltage in normal use is between 342-418 volts. The pump should be at a depth of not less than 0.5 meters, and no water containing mud and sand should be used.
2. When the submersible pump is put into the water or raised to the surface, the power supply should be cut off first, and it is strictly forbidden to pull the cable or outlet pipe.
3. The submersible pump should be equipped with a protective zero connection or leakage protection device. When working, the water surface within 30 meters around the pump should not be entered by people or animals.
4. The pre-start inspection items shall meet the following requirements:
The water pipes are firmly tied; the screw plugs such as deflation, water discharge, and oil injection are tightened; the impeller and the water inlet joint are free of debris.
The horizontal slurry pump adopts a mechanical seal of new materials, which can make the pump run safely and continuously for more than 8,000 hours. The structure is compact, easy to move, and the installation is simple, which can reduce the project cost and does not require the construction of a pump room. It can be used in the full lift range to ensure that the motor will not be overloaded. The float switch can automatically control the start and stop of the pump according to the required water level change, without the need for special personnel to take care of it.
